THE DANGEROUS LADIES: Toronto Comic Con?
Most of the pictures are from FanExpo, which is obviously a much, MUCH larger convention. The Toronto Comic Con in November was so miserably tiny we stayed for ten minutes before we wandered off to take pictures. But this website makes it look like this is going to be…
I was honestly just going to go to troll around and hang out with people, and probably continue to not pay for their events.
But then I got stuck working.
Pass me the skeptical crayons so I can colour myself too, eh?
I was thinking about going because I wanted to get a few things signed for myself and some of my friends, but the advertising seems very fishy and Hobbystar is pretty notorious for having their cons as of late be pretty lazy with organization (FanEx 2010 really was the beginning of the shyte, imo, though 2011 was alright).
I’m still on the fence, though. I was thinking maybe just a photoshoot downtown and potentially a belated birthday dinner for whomever is around and feels like showing up? It’s kind of just a big sketchy maybe because it seems like a lot of people are iffy about that con/weekend.
How many of us are early March babies? Parents, what is so special about early June?!
Honestly, I wanna call Photoshoot Day. I haven’t cosplayed since DTAC and it left a sour taste in my mouth. We should take pictures and get dinner.

Considering that they’ve combined two small events (Mtac and winter comic con) ONLY AFTER the fiasco of Dtac I highly doubt they’ve booked much more space, if any. So I expect nothing. I find it troublesome that they’re using Fan Expo promotional pictures to advertise this even which is by no means the same scale. The criteria for acceptable advertising are that is is truthful, fair and accurate. The pictures they’re using defiantly do not reflect any mini-con of theirs that I’ve been to in the past.
BUT PROVE ME WRONG HOBBYSTAR, PROVE ME WRONG! They could be pulling a larger event out of their ass but something about the quest list says otherwise.
I defiantly don’t plan on attending. But I would love to meet up with people for hangouts and birthday dinners.
